The header Gordon Banks saved

Pelé's header against England in 1970, stopped by Gordon Banks in what is often called the save of the century.

Jairzinho crossed from the right and Pelé headed the ball down hard towards the corner. He was sure it was in. Banks dived across, got the fingers of his right hand to the ball after it bounced, and lifted it over the bar.

Pelé later said that of all the goals he had scored, the one people asked him about most was this one that he had not. The two became friends.
