Bobby Moore
Bobby Moore (1941–1993), England's 1966 World Cup-winning captain, whom Pelé named the best defender he ever faced.
Bobby Moore captained West Ham United and England, and lifted the World Cup in 1966. Pelé called him the greatest defender he had played against. After Brazil beat England in 1970, the two swapped shirts and embraced in a photograph often used as an image of sportsmanship. Moore attended Pelé's farewell match in 1977.
