Tostão

Tostão (born 1947), the forward who partnered Pelé in Brazil's attack at the 1970 World Cup.

Eduardo Gonçalves de Andrade, known as Tostão, was a left-footed forward who played most of his career for Cruzeiro. He formed a strong partnership with Pelé in the 1970 team and started the move for Carlos Alberto's goal in the final. A detached retina, after he was hit in the face by the ball, ended his career early. He became a doctor and later a journalist and television pundit.
